JP Alvarez, writer of poetry, drama, and non-fiction, resides in Bronx, New York. He currently works in the field of education as a private tutor, offering in-home English and Math instruction to students at the elementary, middle school and high school grade levels. JP is also an avid martial artist and is currently a jiu-jitsu practitioner. He has worked as a journalist and a freelance copyeditor while completing his undergraduate studies between Lehman College and New York University. His educational background encompasses majors in English and Communications and minors in Psychology and Sociology. JP is also working on a full length screenplay, which he hopes to submit competitively before January of 2013.
